July is apparently "Clean the theatre" month. We've taken ALL the lights (like at least 100) off of EVERY thing they've been hanging on for a year (cuz they're gonna get cleaned and get new bulbs if needed, all that good stuff), then we had to get the other 50 or so from out of storage, including the ones that take two people to carry...
As I proved on Saturday. We killed time before the last show by playing frisbee. I don't know how to frisbee, and I much prefer to catch balls rather than frisbees. They'll never let me forget that I said that

I forgot my line! Well, more like got distracted and stopped listening to the other actor. I got thrown off by the lip gloss because the cap came off but the brush was still inside so I had to find something else to fiddle with while I'm saying my lines. So I'm just pushing through the rest of my props in the drawer trying to figure out what to use

The second audience was so much better. You could feel their energy. My parents were in the audience. I couldn't see them but they were supposed to be there. Now I don't know if it was this knowledge or the fact that I didn't run through my lines in my head but I totally blanked out at one point in the middle of talking. "It's an anxiety release...

The last time I auditioned for the school play was three years ago. And that was mandatory. Two plays and I couldn't be in either one. Life as a nanny kept me from being able to participate and since then I've been a full time student with no time to do it even if I wanted to. Not with my 90 minute commute to school. That was my excuse anyway.
