LOL! I Did It Again!
I forgot my line! Well, more like got distracted and stopped listening to the other actor. I got thrown off by the lip gloss because the cap came off but the brush was still inside so I had to find something else to fiddle with while I'm saying my lines. So I'm just pushing through the rest of my props in the drawer trying to figure out what to use next and I totally stopped listening to my scene partner.
She just stopped talking and I looked up at her like "Huh?" I did my "Oh shoot!" closing my eyes thing and she repeated her line for me. I finished my lines and hurried offstage like I always do, back to the dressing room to play Zuma and sing Disney songs, lol.
My friends showed up late so they didn't get to see me but they heard me as they came into the theatre. And tonight's audience was great! They really loved the show. They were the best audience yet.
Only two more shows left; tomorrow is gonna be the last day. I'm glad that it'll be over cuz the nerves are enough to do you in, but I'm gonna miss being part of a team. It really makes me want to continue auditioning for other things right now. Especially since I've gotten this book ''The Actor's Field Guide: Acting Notes on the Run". It's full of insightful notes that this guy had compiled from his days of teaching. These are the notes he gave his students so it's written in a personal way instead of just a broad teaching like other books. I really like it.
