Watched this video via cetriya's twitter post! (Thanks for sharing it!) I think the title is ridiculous, and I hope it's just a play off of something else, because it really has nothing to do with "The Fragile Heart of Moe." But I guess it's just a few bits of an entire documentary, so who knows? Anyway, it's about the doujin and manga culture then and now. They even speak with Hagio Moto. *_*

The first thing I found interesting was when they were speaking with the older folks, a couple expressed how today's doujin culture is just not as close (budding with others) as it was back then before the internet. The elder publisher mentions how comicking techniques just can't be passed to each other on the internet like making friends and bouncing off each other in person, so comickers often have to learn everything by themselves, and it's difficult. He also says to the effect, "And pros, don't submit your shitty roughs and expect us to print it." XD Towards the end when speaking with a Comiket employee, there's something about meeting and buying from other people who share a strong love for what you do too. I've yet to go to a con, but I hope to have similar experiences someday. I'm already shy about blabbing my comic opinions online, but I think I'd be more chatty one on one or in a small group. (Not for the whole internet to see, lol)

They subtitled a young lady's English--it wasn't even Engrish!--She spoke like any young person.

heykidzcomix and I are planning digital gifts for donations in the coming months (Depends how fast I can finish it) and I hope it works out well. I definitely want to keep doing more extra stuff and use the funds to make print goods and help pay for the web space. ;; I'm not really keen to selling ads on the site... I'm not sure how much I will make back with the FKMT anthology, (Probably going to lose a lot of money) so I want to keep GC separate from my personal book funds.

Speaking of books, graaaah, just wanna make a solo book of SOMETHING so badly. Summer is filled with cons and people making minicomics, and I'm too poor now to buy their minicomics and I have no time or money to print my own. I wanna join in the fun. ( TДT) I crumpled into a pile of sad when I saw what books would be sold at MoCCA.

I tried doing roughs and correctional work instead of redrawing the entire thing on a clean layer. Skipping a step → Done more quickly, right? It didn't work out as well as I hoped, I guess I really do need more structure. ;; I know everyone doesn't draw the same, but I feel like a fail artist if I have to redraw several times to get it right.

But when I'll be internetless for a very long time during the move, I plan to practice on paper again. I also want to practice drawing lived-in environments from real life or photos I take along the way. Definitely going through mountainous areas, so I want lots of pics of those.
