Just got in from work and felt like hitting this fucking journal up for the second time today.
And this time it’s not going to be so much ranting just me talking about how I fucking love The Bouncing Souls. I bought Melodie both of their DVDs for x-mas and I love them both just as much if not more than her. Seriously I borrowed the biography DVD from her called “DO YOU REMEMBER… 18 years of The Bouncing Souls” and it’s seriously the best fucking band DVD I’ve ever fucking seen! It’s real cool to see where the band started and to be taken on this ride through their ups and downs and through all their progressions as a band and to end up at the current for the band. Seriously I’ve gone out and bought a few of their newer records and downloaded a few others since I’ve seen the DVDs and slowly I can say I’m becoming a Bouncing Souls super fan.
Which brings me to my next point of interest and that is the newest Bouncing Souls studio record “ANCHORS AWEIGH.” This record is sooooooooooooooooooooo fucking good!
I would even go as far as to say it’s their best record to date, and that is saying a lot since they have put out Hopeless Romantic, How I Spent My Summer Vacation and some other really amazing records. But hands down I love this record because it really just explores the entire Bouncing Souls sound that they have honed in on over the past 18 years and they just put together a really amazing fucking record in the process.
Plus all the songs on it just seem to make me feel happy, and I have to admit there aren’t too many bands that you can just put on and sit back and feel happy to.
