I missed so much...
So this weekend was absolutely spectacular!
Thursday I ditched out of work early to go chill with Colin and Big Joe down at the shop... following the conclusion of Colin's outlining Joe,Colin, and I went to Sunshine Buffet for some crucial Chinese food. However, I do believe that the best part of the meal was in fact the ice cream (that shit was hype).
Friday I got up and went to my 8am which sucked, but once I was done with that I came home and crashed for a bit in preparation to hangout this weekend. Following crashin', I hooked up with Gary and him, Colin, and I headed to Punxi for the xRx show with Set Your Goals. Now let me tell you, Set Your Goals is really amazing. I enjoyed their demo, and some of the new tracks they've posted, but by far I enjoyed them the most live. xRx played a great set both Saturday and Sunday, and the hangouts with those guys both times were really amazing. Friday was also cool cause I got to see people I haven't seen for a while and it's always amazing to see old friends after such a dry spell in the good people department.
Saturday was by far the best day I've had in a long time. I got an amazing wake up text from my good ol' pal Katie (Tuffalo) Fernandez, which was cool cause had I not gotten it I would have been late for work.
However, then I had to go to work all day which sucked cause I was anticipating seeing all my friends again at the show that night as well as seeing Katie after not having seen her in ohhhh I'd say like 2 years. Sucks that it's been so long since I've seen people like Katie, and some of the dudes in xRx and so forth. Made me really appreciate life to chill with everyone again.
Then after an amazing nights rest Saturday night, Sunday came.
I got my ass up (even though I could have definitely stayed in bed all day) and I cooked breakfast. My pancakes were decent but cookin' them sucked cause I kept being retarded, however the eggs I made were pretty damn amazing (both colin and katie can verify that one).
But then it was time to say goodbye which is always hard to do. So I tried to leave it open in hopes of hangin' out again, so it was more or less a "see you soon" instead of a "goodbye."
Then to finish out a great weekend, my new band was able to get together and jam... and by far this was the most fun I've had with a group of guys in a band yet. Everyone was nailin' it, and it just felt good to make great music with great people.
Finally the fam. got home, and we all went out for dinner to catch up after the weekend. And I pretty much came home and went to bed after that.
Seriously though, I could live a lifetime of days like I had this weekend... and I would honestly give up everything I own in order to do that.
Life is too short to be worried about the past or the future, so it feels good to know that I'm back to focusing on the right now.
