The bad news. My DVD player doesn't like playing burned discs, and I have a lot of those, and so I bought one from Goodwill to replace it. After buying one and taking it back and buying another, I got a Sony which seems maybe like it works. Not perfectly. That's not great. Also, no remote control. That's crap, too ( Read more... )

So for my two "trips," K Falls and Medford, I'm borrowing my dad's laptop for a week. Since both trips are short, the laptop has actually proven more useful during the interim week while I'm home.
