A link to the original post, just because I'm basically stealing this.

I've been linked to a couple of stories lately where "Christians" have done/said some incredibly stupid things. Both of these stories left me absolutely speechless. Well, the post I linked at the top said it well.

Maybe he'd drive better if he was a Christian

No really. Someone inside NASCAR told him that he'd drive better if he'd convert to Christianity.

That means someone out there believes that their god dips his hands into the events of a NASCAR race. But, if everyone's Christian (except that one godless jew), how does god decide who wins? Wonder if it's a quality or volume sort of thing.

Oh, and what is this jackhole's almighty doing granting/facilitating NASCAR victories when there are people dying of a)malnutrition and b)bullets in Iraq?

To do list:

* Pick the winner of next week's NASCAR race

* Scatter some touchdowns

* Send the kid down to Clarify that whole "love thy neighbor" thing...Maybe in a potato (thanks so very, very much, Fox News)

If I've got time:

* End war

* Stop Hunger

I'd just like to touch a little bit more on the first linked story above.

This woman actually saw fit to pray to God to ask for a sign about whether or not she should continue to make potato salad. There are some things that...well...you should be able to figure out yourself. If you're so dependent on faith, regardless of what kind of faith, that you can't make some food without asking your object of worship about it--you're bound to be misled at some point. Even assuming that you started out in the right.
