A link to the original post, just because I'm basically stealing this.

I've been linked to a couple of stories lately where "Christians" have done/said some incredibly stupid things. Both of these stories left me absolutely speechless. Well, the post I linked at the top said it well.

did you read the full story the link came from? She was praying so she could use God as an excuse to not make the potato salad.

reminds me of a skit I saw a while back (may have been SNL) where a family prayed to Jesus before doing anything, and finally Jesus showed up at their house and asked them to give him a break because he was trying to deal with some things more important than whether or not to have eggs for breakfast. Details are of course fuzzy, but the message remains.
