Hikari blinked, looking over at the boy. He seemed a bit familiar, but she really couldn't place it.
Tailmon just frowned at him. "My name is Tailmon."
Hikari let out a small smile after that. "She's my partner digimon. Back home we fought against digimon that were trying to take over the world together. But have we seen you before?"
Hikari blinked, before smiling a bit. "Oh, I see. That's... sorry. And no, the other digimon that tried to do that weren't cats. They were various different type of monsters."
Tailmon glared over at Marco, but Hikari just moved her hand to keep her in place.
"I'm not the one that named them," Hikari said. "Actually... I don't know who did. But well, Digimon are creatures that come from the Digital World, which was... basically a world created by the internet. There's a lot of different types, from cute cat-things like Tailmon here to giant dinosaurs and dragons, along with even more things."
"Sorry, the only one's that we know of who are actually smart enough to understand and explain how that works are still in the pods," Hikari said, frowning. "At least, if they're still alive at all."
"What's wrong?" Tailmon asked.
Hikari shook her head. "Nothing, just... the things that have been going on lately, you know?"
She didn't even notice that Marco was there yet. And then again, why would she. As far as she knew, Marco was nineteen years old.

Tailmon just sighed and turned to go get a book or something out.
