Welcome to year end. I feel like this year has been a bit of a mess (not a small bit of a mess), but I also feel like things are looking up and I've come through the worst of it. This is a good way to start a new year: hopeful, optimistic, and in charge. Pretty great.

Michael said he has been a bad partner; I told him he hadn't been a partner at all.

So my life at the moment is pretty decidedly a fucked up mess, so let's look at Q1 goals and figure out where to focus for Q2:

Academics: Pretty solid successes in the realm of school stuff. I went into my geography exam with about 71 out of 70 possible marks, and I'm pretty confident that I murdered the exam as well. Feels pretty good, and I'm ( Read more... )

I feel SO GOOD about school lately. It's getting towards that end-of-semester-everything-is-due crunch time, but I feel pretty on top of things and pretty excited about the projects I'm working on and kind of entirely on top of things for a change. I don't really make resolutions at the turn of the new year- it always just seems to end in disappointment. But I do make resolutions the rest of the year, basically whenever, to help keep me focused on where I'm heading and what I'm doing to get there. So I guess that's still resolutions, they're just not strictly for New Years.

• My bed is finally fixed- I'm no longer sleeping on my mattress on my bedroom floor. This is fantastic, since my bedroom is roughly two mattresses big, and when my mattress was on the floor, I couldn't get to my bookshelves, or my dresser, or my closet ( Read more... )

I've been busy- the apartment's happening, it was dirty (SO DIRTY), now it's mostly clean, tonight we'll probably finish painting, tomorrow we're having the floor delievered.
