Romeo looked up again and nodded, "When things go bad you always have to try and keep your spirits up sir," he said politely with a smile. Piccolo wandered over the table and started sniffing at the mans hand in interest.
No matter where Spain went to explore, she would always wind up wandering into the cafeteria, and this was where she saw the little boy and his pet, looking glum.
She watched him for a bit, then approached, stepping back and laughing when he did that fist punch thing.
"Sí, that's the spirit, chico," she smiles widely, taking a seat beside him. "Don't look so sad."
Romeo looked round and smiled softly at the lady that spoken to him, "I'm trying not to miss," he said and smiled again to show how hard he was trying. Piccolo turned away from Romeo's porridge to go and see if the new person had anything interesting to eat.
Romeo grinned and then blinked in confusion at the words, because he didn't understand them. "What was that miss?" He asked as Piccolo began running up the woman's leg.
Romeo looked up with wide eyes, "A weasel miss," he said quietly scooping Piccolo up when the woman extended a hand, "You're not going to eat him are you miss?" He asked concerned because surely there was enough other food about for her not to want to eat a weasel as well.
The animal was well trained. It either had to be a circus one, or the boy just had an affinity for wild things. Seating herself on the table, she gav a short laugh.
"I was teasing you, boy. It would be a waste of a pet. I suppose some of them were made to come with us to this place."
With that, she shrugged the chick nestled on her shoulder so it skittered off her arm and across the table.
Romeo relaxed and let go of Piccolo who wandered over to great the new people, Romeo blinked at the chick and grinned. "What is his name miss," he said tentatively reaching out to touch the chick. "That's Piccolo," he said nodding at the weasel who was exploring the womans hand.
Fletcher looked around for a table to sit at, holding his bowl of cereal in his hands. He still didn't really know anyone here... He wasn't accustomed to being around so many strangers all the time. It didn't feel right.
But it looked like there was another boy here around his age. He felt awkward, but he at least wanted to say hello to him. So Fletcher approached the table, and asked, "Can I sit here?"
Romeo looked up and grinned at the sight of someone else his age, with all the adults around Romeo felt awkward and it was nice to know there were other kids here. "Hello!" He smiled and nodded, "Of course you can," he smiled again and watched as Piccolo bounded over the table to wriggle his nose in greeting.
Romeo smiled as Piccolo started sniffing at Fletcher's hand, looking for more food. Romeo didn't think Piccolo liked porridge very much. "Nice to meet you Fletcher," he said, because that was polite.
"You can pick him up if you want," he said nodding at Piccolo, "But he will try and steal your food!"
Canada settled a little ways from Romeo, a little frown crossing her features. It wasn't right how this place had brought children--not that she'd wish any of them to be destroyed with their worlds if the letters were true--but they were all alone. Children shouldn't be left all alone. His blatant attempts to cheer himself up made her smile.
"You're right. It's important to keep your spirits up."
Romeo looked up and managed a smile, "Hello miss," he nodded and fed Piccolo some more oatmeal, "Yep my friend Alfredo always says, there's only ever one day like today, so when all else fails keep living and we must keep our spirits up and everything will be alright."

He didn't say anything, just grinned a little, then went back to writing.

Despite her contemplative words, Prussia can't help but lean over, extended a hand to see if the animal would come closer.

"I'm Romeo, and this is Piccolo!"

"Thanks," he said, and took a seat across the table from Romeo. He held a hand out to Piccolo curiously. "I'm Fletcher."

"That's awful wise. Most adults don't even get to the point where they can realize that."
