We probably had less than ten trick-or-treaters last night. I did carve a nice pumpkin and put it out, and put my orange lights in the window. My owl/Halloween painting is still not finished but that's okay. I'm resigned to my slowness.

I’m working on a painting of a pumpkin leaf. I took the photo reference for it a year or two ago when I tried growing my own pumpkins in the backyard (and failed). It’s a different sort of painting for me because it’s quite photo-realistic. I hope I can finish it on time for Halloween. I might send an inkjet print of it out for Halloween ( Read more... )

We had about eighteen trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. I think that's less than last year and the reason may be because my pumpkin blew out during prime trick-or-treating time and I didn't discover it for a while. It was pretty windy outside.
