I harvested three nice red tomatoes today. My tomato plants became so heavy with unripe fruit that two of them fell over even though they had cages around them. They're planted in containers and the entire pot fell over in both cases. I relocated those plants to be near a cinder block wall and tied their branches and cages to the blocks to keep them standing.
My Romanesco broccoli has turned out to be, in reality, dinosaur kale. I planted so-called
Romanesco broccoli seeds in the spring and now I just have a very leafy plant without a broccoli crown. The leaves sport the typical embossed "bubbly" texture of dinosaur kale.
My
Creeping Thyme plants are doing well in the clay pot they're planted in. They don't have flowers yet and maybe that won't happen till next year. I only planted half of the seed pack and now I can't find the pack to plant the rest of them.
