I planted six of my tomato plants today. Because the ones I started from seed are tall and spindly, I buried their stems pretty deeply into the soil. I've read that they'll grow extra roots right from the buried stems which will make them sturdier. I put two little plants together in my upside down
Topsy-Turvy planter. I know it's a goofy sort of gimmick -- to grow one's plants upside down -- but it's strangely appealing to me.
