Updates and Glee

First of all, thank you to everyone who read my other post, and responded. Secondly, thanks to everyone who read the fic that bore the heavy duty angst of that crap. I have some updates, but I’ll put it behind a cut, they aren’t particular bad though, just putting them there incase someone wants to avoid it.

Today was my first day back from the disaster that was Sunday and some things have happened since then.

Yesterday, I watched my mother be lead away in handcuffs. She broke a restraining order; she was to have no contact with me. Apparently my mother really is stupid enough to think that just meant by phone or email. Michelle was rather smug about it. Not in a way that was to be hurtful or anything, just in that “You got what’s coming to you!” Kind of way, if that makes sense. I should probably be happier about that, and I am, but part of me still twinges a bit, because Christ she said some pretty terrible things. Plus she’s still my mother, and it’s kind of out of body to stand there and watch them take your mother away in handcuffs while she’s screaming obscenities at you.

Yeah ok, awkward.

I go back to work today, and as I had expected, several people did treat me differently. One of the ladies that I don’t get on to particularly well with hugged me and called me kiddo, but in that really fake patronizing kind of way if that makes sense. Like she didn’t really care, she was only doing it because she saw one of the mangers pull me aside and ask me if I was sure I was ok.

I wish that hadn’t gone down at work.

But whatever, today was terrible anyhow, because I had to work photo and I freaking hate it. I’m not trained for photo. Let me repeat that, I AM NOT TRAINED FOR PHOTO! Stop putting me there and just expecting that I’ll know what to do! Yes I get the basic gist of it, but I have no idea what to do if the paper gets jammed!

But I just kept going “Glee is on tonight.” So I came home, did my laundry, had dinner, and settled down to watch Glee…and Kurt was right. It was magical. I enjoyed it. I’m not even a huge Madonna fan, but I did enjoy that episode. I LOVED four minutes, with Kurt and Mercedes though. My favorite part, though I admit the whole “Feels like for a girl” thing with the guys was pretty funny too. And Ms. Pillsbury apparently running out of Mr. Schue’s place with no shoes lol.

Well I should probably get ready for bed, I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow, just wanted to check in with you guys.

So again, thanks guys! Also yay me, I posted my very first drabble ever! It’s over at wmhs100, which you should total check out for it’s awesomeness.
