It is with great, nay, Dionysiac pleasure that I post that everything's finally actually done. The mermaid has text, the frames are touched up with paint marker, the pedestals have a black cloth under the white one, the folio pages are trimmed down to fit the box better... I even have a
colophon. I had a mini-crit today with my Print workshop, from whence many of the last minute suggestions came; the colophon actually came about during a conversation that went something like this:
Teacher: Are you putting in a colophon?
Me: Umm... of course! Yes! Most definitely, that is completely what I had planned to do! I mean, not having a colophon... that would be ridiculous. Yep. It'll be colophon-tastic. As soon as I put one in. Which I am doing.
Teacher: Ok.
I'd originally planned to do one anyway, but it had kind of gotten lost in the rush to do everything else. But now that it was a priority again... It's really basic, just a listing of the thesis title ("Terasology") my name, the font used, and a complete listing of the monsters divided into the three subgroups (benevolent/transformative/malevolent). Anyway, just got done screenprinting it and the mermaid text.
And now I am going to go try to sleep. Hopefully I'm exhausted enough that I won't lie awake being nervous about tomorrow. Hopefully.
I told my Print I students what's going on in my life, and warned them that come Weds, I'd either be in a very good mood or a very bad one, and that either way, they should definitely *not* ask me how it went, as it would likely be immediately apparent anyway.
