I finished hanging my section of the MFA show on Friday. For reasons unbeknownst to me, not everyone else is done yet. Two people haven't even started. Three that I know of are completely done, others may be by now. (There are ten people total in the show.)

I have to say, when I finished burnishing the vinyl lettres spelling my name onto the wall, there was definitely a moment of "wow, shit just got real." Currently I flip rapidly between exhaustion/indifference and excitement/nervousness; it feels a little like a theatre performance is about to start. I even had to set up the lights in my section.

After spending far too much of today buried in Photoshop, looking at pictures of dead fish (long story) I pulled the last image out and just finished printing it. It still needs to be stamped and have the text written/burned/printed, but at least there's no longer a #21-shaped hole in my folio. Is it the best image evar? Not by a long shot, but it's adequate, and probably not even the worst in the series. (It's a mermaid, btw.)

It's past midnight and I'm dead, but I will post pics of the latest stuff when I get a chance. And I'll post pictures of the whole display after the opening, since I don't want to spoil it for my mother, uncle, and boyfriend, who are coming to see it live. (Dad is too, but he doesn't read LJ.)

Friday was my last ever semester reviews. I will very much fail to miss them.

And now, a LOLcat.
