Up Late Again
I meant to go to bed at a decent hour tonight. Oops.
Some more holiday cards came in the mail today. Tons of people did photo cards this year, so now I am even more disappointed in myself for not doing one. Next year I will get on the ball. And I am also happy to see more people without kids doing photo cards. It used to seem that photo holiday cards were only for people with kids. Two years ago, I did my "Santa Homer" photo card, and then last year Frank & I did the "Santa hats on the beach." This year we got several photo cards from friends (both couples and singles) who don't have kids, and I think it's great!
My parents are on a cruise. They left yesterday on the Carnival Destiny from Miami. They went to Key West, and I'm not sure where else. Cozumel, probably. I saw this headline today: Cruise ship passenger reported missing near Cancun, Mexico, but it's not their ship. It's NCL's Norwegian Pearl. I've already been on the Cruise Critic board to see if anyone has any more information, but so far, nothing.
Speaking of cruises, I still haven't gotten confirmation on the cruise I won. It's going to be either the first week or the last week of February. But today we did receive the free Hawaiian shirts we got from Mad Gringo as part of the contest. The "catch" is we need to have our picture taken (somewhere tropical-looking, I assume) wearing them to send to the company. They also sent a banner with the company to hold in the picture. The shirts are cute. Frank got the Mango Madness and I got Swimming with Dolphins, which actually looks a lot cuter in person than in the picture.
Well, I guess I better go try to sleep. We are planning to get up early-ish and go shopping tomorrow. I have a bunch of gift cards I want to use, some still hanging around from last xmas, one from my birthday, and some from this year.
