Hello all. An issue has been brought to the attention of the mods, and I would just like to make a brief post about it. I know mod posts are not the most fun, but this is something that will hopefully help the community to run a bit smoother

Calling Jaslene a tranny is an insult to trannies, and I mean that both humorously and seriously.

On a completely serious and more practical note, I would just ask the mods to be equally pro-active and diligent about other offensive statements. I haven't seen homophobia here (probably due to the large number of gay men who post here, including myself) but I have seen some racially/culturally insensitive and other downright offensive comments that should have been handled as firmly as you're handling this issue.

Lastly I would just ask that the mods put this announcement in the FAQ or the community rules - since the community is so active there's a good chance a lot of people will miss this notice, especially people who join the community in the coming weeks as the cycle progresses.
