(no subject)
So I've lived in Bradenton/ Sarasota for almost a year now and stil love it. no traffic, tolls, or the everyday assholes. Philip and I both go to school full time. I am taking contemp. literature, english comp. 2, statistics, and sociology. We're both taking the same classes together, except he's not taking stats. We moved into our own 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath town house in October. Had our first real christmas together, decorating our place and putting our christmas tree together. I love it here. We spent way too much money though, thank god for the grants I have from school. extra $7000 a semester between philip and I. $1,500 couch, $2,500 bedroom set, $800 coffee table/side table, $1,200 42" LCD T.V., and so on.... It's ridiculous how much money we've spent decorating and getting EVERYTHING we want. I spent about $2,000 on art, frames, and pictures. Our house is the shit though, worth every penny. My dad still hasn't visited, I wish he would. I'm so proud of everything philip and I have accomplished together. He would be so proud of me, which is saying A LOT. Philip's still working at the complex we live in, Carlton Arms. He gets overtime everyweek and gets about $500 a week. I'm waitressing at a place called Gecko's. I love it there. I make really good money, and I only work during lunch most of the time. I only work about 20 hours a week and make about $350 a week in tips, plus my $4.18 an hour. I'm so excited how things worked out. I never would have imagined a year ago that we would be where we are now. Very content with eachother, happy. We also have a puppy named Vader (Darth Vader). He's about to turn 6 months old and we've had him since Thanksgiving weekend. He's a boggle, beagle mixed with a boston terrior. He's s sweet heart and As much as I love having my own place, I can honestly say I never thought it would be this much work. I clean clean clean all the time. dusting, vacuming, cleaning the couch of dog hair, laundry, the kitchen, the bathrooms. My God, sometimes I wish we had a smaller place, but I like having the spare bedroom for when people come ti visit.
The only thing that sucks is I don't have much friends, well any friends at all, lol. I still talk to Alyssa and Tasha relgiously. Caitlyn from time to time. Philip and I went out to lunch with her and Curtis when they were down last, around christmas. Here everyone is in thier own world. there are the really rich kids driving 350Z's or RX8's. It's crazy. and then the poor ass bitches with like 4 kids and no babydaddy around. I don't know. I like it down here, but I miss my friends.
In another year, maybe two we're going to have to move closer to tampa, or maybe even back to Orlando. There's a USF campus right arouns here, but I don't think they'll have all the classes I need to get my B.A. and then I defanitly have to go to a main campus to get my masters and Ph.D.
schools going faster then i expected. I'm acually going to take summer off this year because i didn't last year. Probably pick up another job for the summer to keep me busy. I'm so used to always running around.
my mom moved down to Cocoa beach and bought a tanning salon. Times like this I wish I lived nearby to get my free tans instead of paying like $80 for 10.
anyways, we're going out with some of philip's friends/ work friends. I'll try to update more instead of like once a year, lol.
