getting your tonsils out a.k.a. everything is TMI now

Hello lovely people!

So on Friday I got my tonsils out, and it has just been TMI upon TMI since then. I'm not even sure where to begin...

Well in the hospital they had me connected to the heart beat monitor, and my attractive female nurse got to rearrange the sensors, which was a nice bit of action. Luckily my drugged up self didn't even say anything awkward! I wish I was back in the hospital, they had good popsicles and I would kill for a shot or two of Dilaudid right now... that stuff was AMAZING.

So the ENT wasn't even sure she was going to remove my adenoids, because I'm old enough that they should have shrunken up, but she said mine was huge. It's supposed to be about the size of a peanut, mine was a ping pong ball. So, yay for huge adenoids? The bonuses of no longer having a ping pong ball sized obstruction there are that I can breathe through my nose for the first time ever, I can smell things again, oh, and I can throw up my nose.

Yep, barfed a ton last night. Every single painful sip of juice and gatorade came back up, along with the chicken broth, mashed potatoes, rice, and pudding I had been trying to eat. And most of it came out my nose! That's new... part of me is relieved that it diverted a lot of the stomach acid away from my 'trying to heal' tonsils, but oww! Also, blowing my noise and having rice come out is new and unwelcome. Also, I can't really brush my teeth. I mean, I did, but I can't use tooth paste because it can get in the sores and will burn like a mofo. So even though I scrubbed my mouth, I can still get a wift or two of stomach acid. So icky!

The Roxicet isn't doing that much for me... I can't even tell you how much pain I am in. My jaw aches, my ears are killing me, I am going through caffeine withdrawal... oh yeah, it's a blast. Keeping liquids down is so hard. I definitely don't recommend getting your tonsils out for fun. I wanted to go to the hospital last night because I felt dehydrated, I had thrown up, and my pain was at 8/10, but my mom wouldn't take me, so I just sucked it up. Hopefully today will be better :/ Oh, and I haven't pooped since Thursday thanks to the medicines I'm on... I am sure that's coming :(

Any one that has been through it, have any suggestions for food I can eat? I just don't wanna throw it up again :(
