Hey! No food in the bed!

So, let me preface this by saying I currently have 6 dogs, however, because of my moving situation [we just bought a house and are renovating it, so I am with my mom] I only have 5 of the dogs with me the other is with my fiance. That is 5 dogs in bed with me at night, thankfully they are all fairly small, but still that makes for a crowded full-sized bed. Let me also say, I feed prey-model RAW to my mutts and have been since day one of their lives. Last night's dinner happened to be Turkey meat and bone with a pork spare rib to each dog and a bit of kidney as well. Oh and everyone got a carrot stick as a treat.

That brings me to last night. There I was, y'know, sleeping. Completely unaware of the horror currently taking place at the foot of my bed. It was so horrible that, all dogs in the vicinity fled to the head of the bed and that is what woke me - my SD Gage stealing my pillow.

Two things hit me then, simultaneously. I stretched my legs out right into a huge pile of wet, cold, squishy, pointy stuff and also, the SMELL. Good lord it was like someone put partially digested roadkill into my bed. I sat up and flipped on my reading light and made a face in horror as I saw a huge, partially, digested pile of turkey, pork, and jagged bones with just a hint of carrot laying on my bed, soaking into my comforter.

Great.

The culprit was easy to find. My Evee was sitting by the mess, looking pitiful and remorseful. I gave her a quick pat and hug, letting her know that I wasn't mad, everybody has to have a barf once in awhile. :P

So, while I wasn't happy to have to wake up out of my pitiful 3 hours of sleep to clean up turkey parts out of my bed and also get a shower to clean up the juices from my leg, at least it went by quickly in my sleepy stupor and I don't remember much about it other than it smelled pretty grody and it happened. So there's that.

Moral of the story: Even cute dogs are gross [though this cute dog is perpetually gross]
