dog poop woes

First post to this community, even though I've been a lurker for about half a year now? Anyways, glad to finally have something TMI-worthy that I can remember. c:

So, as of recently, I've been taking care of my brother's girlfriend's dog, a purebred Pom, while they've been in LA. She's about two years old, and not trained the best, unfortunately (she's been spoiled a bit too much, methinks), especially in the housetraining department.

I really didn't know what to expect when I came back home today, but... today was probably the worst. Thank goodness she goes home tomorrow; all I've been doing is cleaning up after her left and right.

I knew something was up as soon as I walked in the door - it was RANK. Like, disgusting, puke-in-your-mouth, holy-shit-there's-crap-everywhere rank. So my dogs (two miniature dachshunds) and the little stinker come up to me as usual, freaking out since I'm home, and I immediately notice that Pumpkin (said Pomeranian) had a massive clump of fur at her rear, all stuck together with such foul smelling shit that I didn't even bother picking her up for once.

Also, looking around, I found that everywhere she had sat today, there was shitstains. On the couch, carpet, dachshunds' blankets, you name it.

And I thought to myself - fuuuuuuuck.

So Pumpkin gets whisked up to the tub, and I grab a pair of rubber gloves and dog shampoo and conditioner, etc, and started running water on the shit caked around her behind. Immediately, big clumps of the crap fell off, and the water turned a gross shade of brown that you really only see when you look at a dump in the toilet. But, even though washing turned out fine for some of it, I found that there was a great big piece of it wrapped in her fur, I could only guess... I didn't want to hurt her by pulling it out, and she freaked when I tried to break it into smaller pieces to wash out, so I had no choice but to break out the scissors.

A few minutes later, I chopped off all the hair around her ass (and, if you're wondering, my brother's girlfriend is okay with it, I've contacted her) and finished washing her up, pleased that she finally wasn't smelling like some ungodly, shit-caked asshole, and set off to clean everywhere she had so delightedly decided to stain.

This all took me a good 45 minutes to get everything, and although she looked sullen and depressed during the bath, after, she seemed content to make the goofiest face she could achieve and yap at me as I cleaned up her mess.

Probably not as TMI as most of what you're used to seeing, but compared to what I've had to put up with with my doxies and her before today, I was pretty disheartened to have to clean this up. Also, I don't whine and bitch about it all the time, just this once since the mess was on such a large scale.

But, for the heck of it, have a picture of the culprit who made my last little while pretty miserable.

And, since I probably won't have any other excuse to post them, my two doxies (Lily and Coco) who were so delightfully calm throughout my entire ordeal.
