Yes, I'm still alive

I've been much better at my Web updates that posting stuff on LJ. If you are really interested go there.

I'm sewing and embroidering but not for myself lately. Going to a lot of SCA events with more scheduled for June & October. I'm learning both skills from a Laurel/Pelican lady who is so generous with her time. If I can achieve 1/4 of what she can do I'd be happy. Her work is beautiful!

(If you don't know what an SCA Laurel/Pelican is: It is the highest award a person in the SCA can receive. Each one Laurel and Pelican is given to someone who has achieved a master level. The Laurel is for art & sciences recognition and the Pelican is for service. This lady has done BOTH.)

I'm feeling more confident with my handsewing. I've been able to make something look good on the outside but the inside was frankly an utter mess. I'm learning to make my clothes pretty on the inside as well.

I'm learning to be a teacher, so that I can pass along the skills I've learned and am learning.

I just wish I could have the time to do more bike rides with my bike girlfriends, read more books and have time to sew for myself...and give time to my family as well.

Oh Well
