making some progress
I'm currenlty working on a white linen kirtle for the hot days of June Crown. I'll make an over tunic also made out of linen, but has stripes. I'm being very good with the internal seams on these garments and all the seam allowences are turned over and sewn down by hand. I don't have a surger and don't think I'll ever get one. I do like the way a handsewn seam looks even if it does take a lot of time.
I think after all this is done, and I've cut out my Tudor gown. I'm going to make a Gondorian garment. Of course I still have that silk velvet which has been calling to me for a long time now....Blood Red or Mourning. Shoot, I should just use the black velveteen and make the mourning gown out of that.
