I'm still alive
Wow RL interfered with my LJ.
Been working on my Victorian Corset. Made a bunch of bo-bos but it's a learning process. I'm going ahead with the mock-up anyway, if I have to trash it I'll at very minimum have a nice set of lacing stays.
Once I get that undergarment made, I'll be able to jump into my Jane Eyre Dress. I'm going to pattern it after a gown from the Tasha Tudor Collection. The period I'm going for is late 1830 - early 1840s. I have 8 yards of calico print which will work out well for this style of gown.
I killed my iPod Shuffle. It went through the wash and even after drying it isn't recognized when I plug it into my PC...I can't believe I did that. Now the money I'd saved for a new tent willl have to go for another shuffle. I really need my music for the bike ride home.
Going to Las Vegas next weekend and don't know what to wear! All my girlfriends are like a size 2, oh well.
and finally, I have to have at least two napkins embroidered before May, for June Crown auction. I've made one test mock up and the design has been given the OK, now to refine my stitches and make something pretty. The good thing is it's portable, so I'll try and take it on the plane.
