The legendary duellist of Dijon, Réne Alexandre Arnoux was born on this day in 1948. Wishing him all the best and thus getting a good excuse to post here again ^^ ... and if one of you has missed the Dijon duel, shame on you if you won't look it up immediately. One of the greatest. :) (Oh no, now I've got Ti-Gilles and Ti-René in the tent watching the replay again *rolls eyes and laughs at the two cute, bouncing things* How I wish someone had filmed that instead of only writing it down... And how I wish that nowadays such an atmosphere was possible in modern day racing as well. But if it is, sadly we're not informed about it. *sigh*)
Watching Held and Nando battle it out last weekend was fun, though. :) [Yes, I'm desperately trying to get over the Heidi nickname, because then I get the urge to make Nickchen grow longer hair and wear braids... Though someone could soon braid his beard like our chief welding engineer always does. *g* Would look funny hanging out of his helmet.] And wow, the Cub's itch seems to be miraculous since he's already fourth after that terrible crash. *shakes head in amazement* Jackie, Jody and others - I love you for doing so much for the safety of this sport!
Besides, a Ferrari 1-2 and such a nice outcome for my BMW's as well ... what else could I hope for? ^__~ (Except for Juancho and Ti-Jacques and Ti-PitDamon and ...)
Can anyone explain to me why getting to Russia has to be so damn difficult, btw? All the vizovaja anketas drive me crazy and I really do hate to be without my passport for longer periods of time, even if with my nationality it's still pretty easy with all the procedures and everything. *sigh* And why doesn't anyone arrange trips longer than four days? I'm really starting to think I'm going for Siberia next summer. Some weeks somewhere in the middle of Russia and beyond would be fun, cruising on Lake Baikal, living in some Mongolian camp, ... Hee. Besides, I've never been to Irkutsk or Ulaanbataar. ^^;; Sankt-Peterburg would still be nice to see after a couple of years of absence. If I can make it, I'll try to get there by the end of this month, but who knows... My plans usually tend to fail nowadays.

Oh, and I almost forgot. I think I'm getting over my writer's block. I found an old Juan/Ralf lazing around in my HD ... which reminds me: where have all the J/R fics disappeared to? Anyway, poor Emma is going to get something to beta one of these days. Anyone have any requests on what kind of fics I should next focus on?
