v_rosesandwine 's request of "something about Aiba!"
In this interview Aiba gives some behind-the-scenes stories about the first day of filming, talks about his birthday celebrations with his co-stars and bandmates and informs us that only one member of Arashi has got him a present ("so far")!

Today the drama filming got off to a safe start. It seems like you also had your birthday celebrated on set, is that right?
We started (filming) on the 25th, and right before it started, the studio lights went... I think I was here with everyone else, right, and the lights all went out. Cake and flowers... it was kinda like, even though everything was just beginning, it felt like the end (laugh). It was really similar to the "good job everyone!" feeling at the end of filming. But I was happy - really happy! It was like, even though my birthday had already passed, they still did it for me. It made me realise that we're gonna have a really good time together from now on.
Your co-stars also celebrated with you, didn't they?
That's right. Today it was just four of us - me, Omi (Toshinori)-san, Kanjiya (Shihori)-san and Nishi (Keiko)-san on set though. Toshinori-san has a really good personality. She also co-starred with Ninomiya in "Ryuusei no Kizuna," you know. So we talk about Nino and stuff. Today I'm... well, I'm looking like this (wearing a jacket/coat), but when I get behind the bar I look pretty snappy, so please come along again at one of those times (laugh). Certainly.
Episode 1, which has been filmed today, mainly involves this kind of style, doesn't it? ("Jacket" style)
Episode one is like that, yes. In this episode, we're painting a picture of my character as he is before he returns to the world of bartending, so today's on-set atmosphere is one of mid-breakdown.
So today's clothes are mid-breakdown style?
Well I suppose... delivery man-style.
Today you had birthday celebrations with your co-stars, but yesterday did the other Arashi members throw any celebrations for you?
Yesterday whist filming "Music Station Special Live 2010", a cake was brought out for me. That was done as a surprise too. After the filming was all finished, I had the cake brought back to the green room for me, and it was this biiiig massive cake. It was handed to me like "there you go, Aiba-san!". But by that time, everyone had already left. So I just cut it alone, ate a bit and went home (laugh). Oh, but Matsujun did give me a present. Only him, mind you - just Matsujun! So far, that is (laugh). Arashi is pretty slow when it comes to birthdays, all of us are like that.
As this is a bartender role, are you having to do any special training?
I've been told that using the shaker and stirring properly are the more difficult parts, so I've been starting from there with my practise. So I've got a good understanding of it in my head, but I think the essence of bartending is being able to display things like the right bottle-opening technique and hand-movements when you're creating a drink in front of a customer, so that part really is difficult.
Are there any instances where you find yourself practising without realising it in everyday life?
This is actually on purpose, but recently when I open plastic bottles and water bottles and stuff, I've been careful not to use my fingertips, but to do it really elegantly. I've been thinking of making an effort to do stuff like that on a daily basis. But it's just that if I got seen doing stuff like that by the other members or whatever, they'd be like "what's with the way you just opened that?" ...it'd be embarrassing (laugh).
