Review: Rose Of Versailles 2001 Hoshigumi: Oscar & Andre
Call me Mr. Procrastinator because I was SUPPOSED TO BE DOING A REVIEW TO OSA PHANTOM TO KICK OFF OSA WEEK IN THIS JOURNAL, but I was so amazed by this show that I just couldn't keep my eyes off of it. This being of course, Berubara Hoshi 2001 AKA, the show I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO WATCH!! Now on to the review!

THOUGHTS ON THE STORY
I'll keep it brief on the story since everyone has already seen this or read the manga but I must say that this is got the be the most beautiful story I've ever seen come to life! Its like the whole Berubara Manga woven into a pop up book, its that majestic, :)!
THOUGHTS ON THE PERFORMERS
Well who doesn't love the performers here? Noru(Minoru Ko), makes a beautiful Oscar, with such strength and grace(plus this is the best Oscar wig I loved!). Noru actually makes you believe she is the actual Lady Oscar from the Manga and I just loved how she winked at those crazy fangirls. Tartan(Kouju Tatsuki), makes a very handsome Andre, the parts with her and Noru are probably the best Takarazuka can offer. Touko(Aran Kei), only had little stage time but I loved what she did with Fersen though Wao still wins as my favorite Fersen, ;)! Hoshina Yuri is a beautiful Marie Antoinette and its adorable to watch the cute Un-chan(Matobu Sei), as Alain(who ever though a sienne like that can be cute in her little uniform!).
THOUGHTS ON THE MUSIC
This is the score everybody is familiar with, from the famous Ai Areba Koso to the upbeat Finale when Oscar and Andre meet again in Heaven.
CONCLUSION
Overall, not a bad Berubara, its the one I will recommend everyone to at least watch it 10 times! I especially loved the extras with Wataru and Juri Andre and Berubara Memorandum. Not bad for a DVD.
