Rose Of Versailles: 1989 Yukigumi

Not generally a review but just thoughts though, this was actually the first Vintage Berubara I loved the most(well that and the 1991 Tsukigumi Production respectively). Beware though, there are 2 Fersens you have to watch out for, there's Shion Yuu(the one Japanese Televisions tends to play more often), and the Asaji Saki version.

Ichiro is Oscar in my eyes(well so is Kaname but its hard to choose, it really is), Keiaki is an ernest Andre(though I felt something was lacking but I can't put my pen and paper together to add it all up), Nishina Yuri as Antoinette is a shocker for me since I've only knew her as Beryl from Sera Myu(she sorta overacted the "Furansu no Jou" part by putting emphasis on the whole sentence). The Fersen I have in my copy though was Shion Yuu and she was sheer perfection(though not enough stage time).

The whole Title says "Andre and Oscar" but some people calls this "Andre" since the emphasis is more on him than his Oscar(played to utter perfection by Ichiro).

The Rosalie here is sweet as sugar and I love to watch it just for her but I can't stand Jeanne here(her laugh.....annoying).

I find this is the silliest way to show how Andre gets blind(unlike the 2001 Hoshi where its almost close to the Manga whenever possible).

Oh I've almost forgot, clips!

I was going to make some from my copy but this person on Youtube is clip happy that the user almost could've spoiled the whole story.

Prologue: I love Ichiro and Keiaki, Yukigumi is the best!

Kokoro no Hito Oscar: Andre lays Oscar on his lap and lulls her to sleep after Oscar drank so much wine.

Oscar's Living Room/Ai Areba Koso: Oscar and Andre confesses their love for each other before the tragic day.

Finale: Oscar and Andre reunite in Heaven, a happy end.

Also here is a clip of Keiaki talking about her Berubara experience.
