Back from Bangkok Trip! Day 1

I just don't get the fascination hotels have with exhibitionistic bathrooms, seriously. Not everyone you share a room with, you want to be naked around. Thankfully, it had a shade that pulls down but there was still a silhouette from the light so I had to switch them off every time I showered. Besides that, I liked our hotel room (we stayed at Novotel Platinum Hotel) ^_^ We had a nice view of the city below.

I ended up just using my phone as a camera this whole trip, and left my actual camera in the hotel safe. It was just so easy and convenient. I can see why people just use it now. The first day was just me and Sis#4, and then we'd meet up with Sis#3 the next day.

Our first order of business was to go to Chatuchak Market, the biggest weekend only market which I've always wanted to go to but couldn't previously because I've only came during the weekdays. It was big. It was amazing. There was absolutely so much to see. There were bags made out of crocodile skin - with the heads still attached! We came early, which I think was a good choice because it was hot and some of the walkways were quite narrow. Just imagine sharing that space with hundreds of people! I think I spent about 5-6 hours in there and I know I still didn't see everything. I definitely wasted a good portion of my money there. I didn't realise there would be an art/gallery section until we stumbled upon it; that was a nice surprise.

Also, remember to eat something and keep hydrated because the idiot that I am, even though I had like three different drinks, I hadn't eaten, so by the end of it I literally dropped my ass down on the train station floor (thankfully, it looked clean) because I felt like I was going to faint.

After having a late lunch, we went to Platinum Fashion Mall, which is this big mall filled with stalls and endless stalls of clothes and etc. I didn't bring a lot of clothes because it was so easy to just get it there. Bought a couple of shirts.
