HAHAHAHAHAHA I'm sorry about your local paper. That reviewer's dedicated to such terrible negativity.

The shot choices and the really slow pacing (a plus for me, it gave me goosebumps) were so grand, I couldn't believe what I was watching. It was gasp-central over in our corner. And, not to bring in something else entirely, but I feel like I got a glimpse into what Amber Spyglass would look like movie-form. So random but omggggg their sweeping locations, reminded me of that movie Alaska but cooler. ROCKS AND TREES AND BEACHES AND WIZARDS. DSASDFASDGF

It IS grand, that's a spot-on description. And i suppose i haven't really described my feelings very well re: slow vs. rushed, because i looooove that there are so many quiet moments and it's a deliberate journey that technically could be described as "slow", but the problem i had with it the first time around was that the very close retelling of the book made it feel kind of long and boring. IDK! I like it now.

SERIOUSLYYYYYYY. Once my H/Hr dreams were crushed, i became delusional in another respect and held out hope for Harry/Luna until the BITTER END. Their relationship is so much more profound than the uninspired blandness of Harry/Ginny "she's hot and she's my mom!". And yes oh my goodness they are so wonderful in the films. Evanna Lynch is the best casting out of ANYONE.

I read both of your reaction posts and i gotta say your excitement is very contagious. Thanks for the link to the Emma interview! She's SO HOT NOW, i can't wait to see her blossom into all kinds of wonderful roles because yes she really seems to have improved with age. To be honest, as H/H as i am personally i had difficulty with the heavy-handed fanservice. I know it's not real, they can't play with my emotions like this ;___; i then feel very defensive of the canon. That said, naked making out. Oy.

Oh maaaaan Emma is ridiculously hot now, and it's like, uggghhhh you were a tiny baby YESTERDAY and now you're stunning, wtf. They all grew up so nicely! I want them to go on and be great in other stuff without HP looming over them, but i'll also be so sad to not see them together anymore.

To be honest, as H/H as i am personally i had difficulty with the heavy-handed fanservice. I know it's not real, they can't play with my emotions like this ;___;I KNOOOOOOW, as much as i enjoy seeing it it's also REALLY WEIRD. Either totally rewrite the story or leave canon the way it is, but don't pretend you're giving us H/Hr when you're really not! IT'S VERY CONFUSING. But who am i kidding, i have always eaten up these bonus scraps like the pathetic shipper i truly am ( ... )

Obviously JKR's next project needs to be rewriting HP with different [better] relationship outcomes. It could have been so much more beautiful. ;____; EVEN DANIEL RADCLIFFE SHIPS HARRY/LUNA.

I am so fucking excited to see the Ron/Hermione kiss oh my goodness.
You must know how unbelievably pumped I am to see this. And how terrified I am of seeing it early in the form of some shitty gif on Tumblr. I love Tumblr but the instant gif thing has been driving me crazy. God help the person who spoils this for me. I will END THEM.

I had totally forgotten about Hermione polyjuicing herself as Bellatrix, but now that i've been reminded, the shot of the single hair falling to Hermione's sweater is a nice little set-up. OH GODDDDDDDDDDDD JENNI DON'T EVEN SPECULATE ABOUT THAT HAPPENING. I already hate Tumblr for being a dick about spoilers, but that would be TOO FAR. TOOOOO FAAAAAAAR. And it seems so silly to be worried about being spoiled for something that we already know happens, but actually seeing it for the first time is something you can never get back!
