Our extended holiday continues. Ater two days in Pompano Beach at Carlos’ place, we traveled the so-called scenic route around Lake Okeechobee back to the Gulf coast. I left Stillwater at 6 AM on Sunday morning and drove straight through to Woodstock in 13 hours and 15 minutes. Thanks to my new Garmin GPS I know all the statistics of the trip; my average speed while moving (over 65 mph), average speed overall (over 60 mph), time stopped (55.3 minutes). It is funny when I go away from Woodstock for a while. When I come home, it usually takes a few days before I actually feel settled in again. Things change when I go away. I got a call right after writing the last entry that my crown had come in and my dentist could put it in right away, so I rushed over to his office, and in half an hour I was finished. It feels great. Just like a real tooth only stronger ( Read more... )

Yesterday was a hair-raising day in more ways than one. My friend, John H, got me up at about 7 AM. I showered in a wonderful shower with the side jets. Our bathroom will have this feature some day! It has been a weird couple of days. I woke up yesterday feeling dizzy, nauseous and generally wretched. I had an 8:40 AM appointment with my Urologist in Woodbury.
