We just volunteered ourselves to be bumped off of our flight from Atlanta to Phoenix tonight. The flight was ridiculously overbooked, and Brandon finagled the Delta people into agreeing to $500.00 vouchers each instead of the $400.00 vouchers they offered initially. Once they throw in a hotel room and food vouchers, that should be a pretty sweet deal. Brandon was scheduled on a maintenance gig tomorrow, but the value of the vouchers should more than make up for the missed revenue. The catch might be that we have to fly to Detroit to get home, but I'm fine with that if it gets us closer to traveling abroad on thethe cheap this coming year.
Never done this bumping thing before, so I'm kind of stoked to try it out. Here we come, fabulous international destinations!
