I had several days where I was behind schedule, sometimes significantly. And this non-fiction project was starting to need research to fill out some empty spaces. Including watching lots of Classic Who. But... I did it. I just finished the conclusion and validated my word count. 50,189 was what my word processor said. It validated at 50,195. I managed it despite working doubles on seven of those days. Most days I made sure I did no less than 2K. Had one 7,500+ word day and another near 7K day last week. And today? 9,500+. My new record. I am so amazed with myself, and proud. 10K is now totally doable for me ( Read more... )

That's my NaNoWriMo word count for 11/6. I don't think I've ever written that many in a day before. EVER. For anything. Now 10K in a day seems doable where it once seemed unlikely. Now I'm at 19,267 new words for my project in six days. Wow ( Read more... )

I did it! I beat the deadline! The middle is horrendously shaky, but I have a complete first draft!

I'd do a happy Wilf dance, but I need my sleep. I think I'll sleep well enough given that I'm getting up early to exercise BEFORE writer's group.

I can't believe it. As hard as it's been, I've cracked 44,000 words. That's not even 6,000 words to victory. :DDDDDDDD

It means what will be my first published novel is close to a complete first draft. I could bounce for joy. :DDD
