Unlike my laptop, I'm alive and not sticky. I know this because of the pleasant thump in my sternum, and that I showered this morning.
But really, my laptop is gone, gone, gone. This makes school far more difficult. However, it's entirely reflective of my life right now. It was the most appropriate time for it to have chai spilled on it, and then give up, give out, and get on with the after-life. I mean, I'm not getting it on with the metalife yet. But things are new, as they are every morning upon waking, but now, more so. Extra new. Super new. Try out our new and exciting New! Entirely rebuilt for your new-loving satisfaction. Anyhow, it's been a busy, shitty week. School is piling up, and I'm not staying on top of it. Then I saw a shooting in Ypsi. I'm pretty sure it was just gunshots, and no one was actually killed, but it really shook me up for most of the weekend. I grew up in Ann Arbor, in a slightly safe neighborhood, and I'm not used to seeing people run away screaming, and worrying that I won't get off the street in time. Regardless, it was a wake up call that Ypsi isn't actually this fun wonderland I've made it into. Funderland.
Did you know that the Kling-on word for love is bang?
So there's been a lot of issues this week, and my friends have been really helpful to me. However, the most marked and poignant advice came from the philosopher king, Joe Stanish. Upon telling him what's been bothering to me, he responded by telling me that I'm now free to be a bitch, and should by all means capitalize upon this opportunity. Then, these pearls of wisdom descended upon my head:
"And just tell everyone, 'Hey, you're just another notch on my lipstick case.' And if they ask, 'hey, what's a lipstick case?' - give them two middle fingers and say, 'Fuck you. Fuck you.'"
In conclusion, that will be how I'm living my life from now on.
Everyone rocks. Be at peace, my children. I bang you all.
The End.
P.S. I believe he was quoting Pat Benatar, in case the lipstick case business seem way too left-field for your tiny little brain.
