The concert last night was pretty good and we were close enough to see the faces of the people on stage.
Alice Cooper's set was very similar to last time, songwise. Calico was in it again although she did slightly different things. They hanged him this time as opposed to guillotining, also he staked a doll in a pram. At the end they played Elected ( Read more... )

Something that occurred to me a whole ago, and I think I mentioned on here at the time, has just been explained.

I reckoned there was a significant similarity between certain lines in Dire Straits' Money for Nothing and Don't Stand so Close to Me by the Police. "I want my MTV" sounded a lot like "Don't stand so close to me", especially in certain ( Read more... )

Not working tomorrow. I feel fine now, but 3.5 hours sitting around on campus toady made me feel dodgy, so 7.5 hours work will not go down well. Hopefully I'll get some decent sleep tonight and start recovering properly. I think I just need to get some proper sleep and I'll stop feeling crap in the mornings.

I got my blood test done this morning, seemed very quick and not very painful. I was even able to look at the needle before she stuck it in (still can't actually look at the needle going in, how do crack heads do that?) So last night was my first big name gig at an inside venue. Texas!
Sharleen Spiteri has a great voice and her speaking accent is nice too. She was willing to chat to the audience and respond to the many hecklers; we discovered that Jaffa Cakes are cakes not buscuits and learnt some rather personal things about the keyboard player. They played all ( Read more... )
