The Foo Fighters were awesome the other night.
Lots of songs I recognised and could sing along with. Plus great energy, the encore had 5 songs and went off the set list. Every time I thought they'd done all the ones I knew they played another song I recognised. I tend to forget how good they are and how much they've done.
I have noticed that live performances give me a certain kind of headspace.
When I'm watching a band or a performance I tend to find myself able to think of things quite clearly. Ideas come into my head or I think of ways to express ideas I've already had. It's not that I'm not paying attention to what I'm watching, it's just that part of my mind seems to go clear. It doesn't work at all the same with TV and film, which tend to invade my mind and make it harder to think. I don't know why this should be, but I'm sure there's a reason.
LJ and hotmail seem to have made up again. I got a couple of notifications from comments this evening.
Either that or
the_barlow's LJ defies email problems.
