I recently got back from the 58th Annual Meeting of the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), which was held in Toledo this year. Ahem. A few years ago, I wrote a historical fic for an undergraduate seminar on the Sea Peoples, in imitation of the style of such Egyptian tales as the Report of Wenamun.
