Voting is now running for the 2007 Engadget Awards, and the TiVo HD and Slingbox SOLO are both in the running for Home Entertainment Device of the Year. As much as I love the Slingbox, I think I have to side with the TiVo HD in this case. Go over and vote.

I'm streaming CSPAN on Low video action over not wifi, but edge on my cell phone. I'm streaming video at about 160-170 kbps. High definition is real clunky, but regular cable is pretty reasonable, as long as my signal doesn't tank.

Gizmodo is reporting on an 'oops' by Amazon that exposed a new Sling product. The Slinglink Turbo looks like a new powerline Ethernet adapter that uses the HomePlug 1.0 Turbo standard to support 84Mbps traffic over power lines, as opposed to 14Mbps supported by the old Slinglink.
