I had a fantastic trip to the Lake District with Rikdalf. I'll do a proper write up soonish, with pictures, but they're still on the cameras. We got rained on torrentially for the first couple of hours of walking, but then it dried up and we had sun and clear skies for the rest of the trip. I got the job! YAY! From February the 26th (after I get back from Colorado) I shall be the Fostering Department's brand spanking new Interviewing Officer *happy dance* I shall be spending most of my time interviewing prospective foster parents, keeping a record for statistical purposes, making pretty graphs and generally being a badass and I am ( Read more... )

I've told my boss I don't want my contract extending beyond the end of December (and suggested she extends the other temps contract instead, but that's a whole can of politics) and in January I am volunteering via Safe@Last with Crucial Crew teaching ten and eleven year olds the danger of running away through drama ( Read more... )

We took a camera down with us to Climbing Works a few Saturdays ago. This video is the highlight, which I was too impatient to wait for Kieran to finish the whole video to share. Its sort of a supplementary to our Bouldering for Numpties series. It was the first time I managed to do that brown route too.
