Sho kun is so hard working... i love how arashi really thinks about their fans alot
o-chan is so unbelievable cute and ditzy in this interview... you have to read it !!!! i just wanna give him a hug....

Arashi (as a group) were amazing in Taiwan and korea! Whether it was something to do with the countries or, whether it was the fact that we don’t go there often or whther it was a buzz that people got from being there but the auidience screams were amazing. Although I don’t think the loudness of the screams shows if we are popular over there or not. But I kinda liked to think that, just for a bit (jokingly). I was able to dream it~~~ (laughs). The day after we returned from Korea, we went to film for ‘Aiba Masaki, the human bird!’ (for mago mago…it was so hilarious I highly recommend it for those who haven’t seen it) The completion of that was great too. Satoshi and aiba kun were saying “oh man…until yesterday we were superstars…why human bird?!?”
We felt the energy of the people in asia when we went for the promotional trip earlier this year. At that time, we didn’t really know how known arashi was over there. Like if they knew our songs and whether they knew about our individual characters and personalities. But when doing the concerts and music festivals, we saw loads of uchiwas (the round fans) with words corresponding to things we have done in Japanese variety shows (in sho’s case.. the infamous…CHESTO~~~!). Seeing this, I really felt how much the people loved arashi and I was so happy!
Apart from being on stage, the Korean stadium we were in was the place where the world cup was held. So even though we didn’t have a ball, we were all pretending to play football. We tried to experience air football world cup (laugh). Even though we were in Korea for 3 days, there wasn’t a single chance for us to eat fried beef! In the end we ate like seafood and something called mochi calbee, which was like a hamburger. When we go back in November we will definitely eat fried beef!
When we were in Taiwan, me and Aiba went to a Massage place. Five people give you a massage at once. Head, Nails/hand, feet, upper body…what was the last one..? …… (nino- Tianjin?)..Yeah Tianjin massage (a type of Chinese massage method I guess). Anyway there were 5 of them. Was I healed? Weel..um..I was so embarrassed and didn’t feel good at all (laughs) Beware…the Taiwan culture!
By the way..is everyone watching NEWS ZERO??At the time I am doing this interview, its only happned once but when filming, I wasn’t at all nervous. Even though it was the first time it was going to be aired on tv, were there loads of really important people about, and there was a really tense atmosphere. Well, I’m hopeing to keep talking as naturally.
And.. ‘kisarazu cats eye’. Finally is released but even though its just started it’s the end as well. Basically I didn’t really feel like ‘Cats’ was going to end before the recent movie was released. Now that its released, the only things that’s left is the end. Its kinda sad. But I thinks it is a good movie. People who have said that this is the first time they are going to see ‘…Cats eye’, I heard, they were crying throughout. I’m really glad that even people who aren’t a ‘cats’ fan are enjoying the movie.
Last but not least, it was our 8th year anniversary. I think we are ‘the beautiful group, ARASHI’ no? (laughs). Personally my 7th year as arashi has been really productive. Doing ‘Hachimitsu to Clover’, ‘..Cats’, doing a solo live and stage show…Even thought I feel good that I’ve progressed so much in my 7th year…I also hope that in our 8th year I can relax a little more. (laughs). As a group, I hope we can keep working hard where our 10th anniversary is visable. Firstly I think we will aim towards our 10th anniversary.

Taiwan and korea? It was kinda weird cos it was the first time ever we went to Asia. It didn’t really feel like another country. When you normally go away somewhere, there aren’t people waiting for you at the airport. So when there were that many people there, it didn’t really feel like we were in another country. The signs and stuff in Taiwan were all kanji and it just kinda felt like…wow..ive come to a really weird version of Japan (laughs). We did our greeting in a different language, in tawian we spoke taiwaneese, in korea we spoke Korean. I was like…what country am I from (laugh). Anyway it was really surreal cos lookswise its not that different. They all learnt a little Japanese and some Japanese fans were there too. But our greeting was in their language. For me, I was like..what country am I in. (leader is so dozy and cute…he is just so out of it sometimes..but that is why we love him right?).
The live in Taiwan. I felt really nervous. The butterfly in your stomach feeling I had before the concert started was similar to Arashi7s first live ever. When it started it was amazing. Because we didn’t know how well we were known in asia, before the concert started we were all thinking how the concert would turn out. For every member of arashi, the audience went crazy so I really thought it was amazing…Thank you so much! (laughs). I was so happy. Also I really thought the song ‘A-RA-SHI’ is amaszing. The way the energy built up was out of this world. We should have sung it like 3 times. (laughs). However many times we sung it the energy was great.
While sho - kun were having a massage done in Taiwan, me and jun went to the juniors room in the hotel and we were having a laugh. Everyday we ate in a canteen. Never in my life have I eaten canteen food for 3 days (laughs), cos I don’t usually go to canteens but it was really really good!.
We still have the live concert in Korea to go. The reception we got at the Korean airport was like no other so I really think that the concert will be amazing. I really want to put on a good show regardless of the reception we kindly received in korea last time. When we went to Thailand for the promotional greeting, the reception was amazing too. Because of that I really feel bad that we couldn’t go. I feel awful that we have upset some fans. So we really will pay back our fans in some sort of way sometime.
By the time we have our Korean live, I will already be rehersing for my stageshow (tenseikunbuu…) At his point of time I don’t really know any specific details. It seems like I’m gonna be doing some time slipping. I think…the audience will enjoy it…apart from doing kung fu, it looks like a lot more will be happening too. Many different movements. Also there will be scenes in it where i cry. Crying scenes,…are….hard work!(laughs)to take your emotions to that level is really hard.. Previously when I was doing bakumatsumbanpu~, I looked back at points in my life and I was alble to relate them to the show when I am told time slipping…..i’ve never done that before!(leader, I don’t think anyone has ever time slipped before sweetie….) It’s an experience ive never experiences before…..so im having some trouble with the role and character building.
Is it arashis 8th anniversary this November? I’ve kinda stopped thinking about what year we are on. I used to in the beginning. Like ‘oh its been 5 years now’. I think about it sometimes now but its like “and what…?”so even though its our 8th year, there isn’t anything I have been thinking about in particular.
