...is what I say but it doesn't seem that way if you just followed my journal lol. (and oh hay, when did it become May?!)
i So
smappiesubs is like one of my favorite subbing groups ever. Not only are they just consistantly amazing with their subs, but since I don't watch all that many SMAP related stuff, they are my constant source for SMAP material. Especially older clips where they talk about interactions with sempai. *________* I was babbling on and on about this on twitter (because it's long at 3 parts that were 40 mins each) but there was this one show they were on called
Pittanko Kankan back in 2004 where essentially they were on because they were promised the TBS Big Hat building if they won the contests. Which lol. I cannot believe they bet a BUILDING. Anyway, it was a barrel of laughs in about 4 different competitions (from what I remember): questions related to a special Guest and his/her thoughts about SMAP, questions about themselves (which was played in a Family Feud kind of way), attempts to recreate skits from two big-name comedians (one being Shimura Ken), and questions relating to their sempais.
The Family Feud game was HYSTERICAL, I have to say first because it involved questions like "What does Tsuyoshi do when he gets home?" or "What would you like Kimura to do when he's saying "I love you"?" or "Where would Nakai bring his date to?" And these questions were asked to 100 people and they had to guess the most popular answers. I was laughing so hard during Nakai's part because they made the distinct difference between Nakai going somewhere the girl likes and him essentially dragging his date to places he wanted to go. LOL One of the popular answers was the convenience store which Nakai HELLA protested. heck he protested the entire segment because for every answer, there would be a drawing, and in each one, the girl looked absolutely miserable. So funny. :D
As for the sempai portion, it was fascinating. There was a pretty decent portion on just young!Matchy who was a bit of a little snit back then. There were clips of him on The Best Ten and so, one particular part (which was the question) was what Matchy had said to his friend from a group called "The Goodbye" (or something like that? I can't exactly remember) before they were about to perform. And it turned out it was something like, "And this should say 'Goodbye' since this'll be the first and last performance of them on The Best Ten." And they were all like, LOLOL Matchy was always really good at those sarcastic remarks and whatnot. XDDD I died. Tetsuko (who was on this part to aid with the questions) was like, AND HE WAS RIGHT TOO. LOL And that's just ONE part. The whole segment was gold for those who want to watch more about the sempai groups. They covered Matchy, Shounentai, Shibugakutai, Otokogumi, Hikaru Genji. SERIOUS GOLD. :DDDDD And well worth the watch. Just to link to it again, dl it
here!!! :D (and it's not hard at all to join the
smappiesubs comm unlike other subbing communities)
ii. .......i swear i had more to say. LAUGHING. WHAT FAIL. Um. I think V6 went to Las Vegas for Mission V6. But that's just because I caught up on all of Mission V6 last weekend and they are supposed to go overseas as a prize. :D Discuss.
iii. Um. No really. i'm boring. This whole post's purpose was just to babble about Pittanko Kankan apparently. Let's leave it at that.
