[#067] Apparently all my posts lately revolve around pimping something

...This time, it's all about the podcasts!!! :DDDDDD

i. But first I want to talk about how today, I was adamant that I wouldn't go shopping since SPENDING MONEY = BAD. (Or at least as of right now since I need to save money.) Then as I was waiting for my mom to finish shopping so we could go home together, I stopped by H&M. And that's where I saw this dress and folded like a little kid in a candy shop. *_____________* I RESISTED SO HARD AT FIRST THAT EVEN C TREKKED FROM HER APPOINTMENT JUST TO SEE ME AND CONVINCE ME TO BUY IT. a;ldfkjalfkjda i really would never have bought it otherwise. XDDDDD But now I'm super excited. IT'S SO CUTE. OMG.

ii. So things I learnt in the past DAY actually:
- The Queen has her own personal toilet seat
- A potato is actually 80% water
- The most extreme way I've ever heard to get rid of hiccups involves your rectum (shudder)
- How some captcha is used for the sake of digitizing old books (WHO KNEW)
- That supermarkets have a special code on bread to say which day they were made
- They used to send secret messages using TOENAILS
All fascinating in their own separate way and all this information came from this one podcast! How To Do Everything. It's actually from the two ....producers? or directors? of NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me (and this is actually also NPR but not in the same way) and it is brilliant. I mean, even questions I will probably never have to deal with but Ian and Mike (the hosts) deliver the stuff so well! Plus it's not like they're the one giving the answers, they find the people, the experts to answer these questions from viewers! So like the first thing we have on my list was a question (from the hosts lol) relating to how they should act around the queen (and that info was given out surprisingly), second was someone asking the best way to store potatoes, etc. SO INTERESTING. Seriously check it out. Only 11 episodes so far, but SO GOOD. (There was one point where they tried to see if you can actually jump in a cab and go "follow that cab in front of us!" Won't spoil what happens, lol.

iii. Another thing podcast related, I discovered that one of my favorite podcasts from a while back that had actually ended came back!!!! Nobody's Listening is a podcast where essentially people told funny life stories. And it was funny and clean which is surprising in this day and age there are innuendos here and there but mostly clean. and fart jokes lol. Anyway, I just want to say YOU GUYS SHOULD LISTEN. and then to link to two things: You're Mocking Me where James essentially recreates/draws Buzz Lightyear in many different forms. And 2... well this isn't a link so much as 2 embeded videos!

First, and the title is self-explanatory, Super Mario Bros Theme Song, A Capella Cover

HYSTERICAL.

And this second one is in reference to the UCLA girl rant. (If you haven't seen it yet... well, check it out, I laughed a little. then check out this vlog DavidSoComedy made in reponse. he's hysterical bytheby. But anyway, wrong pimp.) So in her rant, she "imitated" how Asians spoke on the phone, "Ching chong ling long ting tong." And so Jimmy (that's the guy's name?) made a song based on that. Again, hysterical.
