ii. I FINALLY FINISHED READING SHAMAN KING YESTERDAY. a;sldkfjasldrjasidf;sjdkfl Talk about pissy. Even worse because I had been in the middle of recording and finished during one of our breaks. a;sldkfjalksdjf I was pretty much spazzing during it going, "WHAT. WHAT. WHAT IS THIS ENDING. WHAT?!" ...Yeah, ending wasn't exactly my favorite. Kinda whoosh, done. And just, UGH. Please to be more specific. I just ugh. The manga itself was love, but then by the end, people were dying left and right. Being resurrected left and right. Getting more and more powerful left and right. It was maddening. And reminded me of DBZ. I was really sad about the kids, btw. That was just. What. :\\\\\ And I love making fun useless!Manta. Love for him~ And DEFINITELY, lots of love for Anna. :DDDD So much love.
iii. Fic Recs!
- Kurosagi Drabbles by lightstylings. Just brilliant. There's about 11 or so (I can't remember) and it's various characters throughout the series interacting with each other. There was even Yuuko-senpai, which I was really impressed by and loved. YUUKO/KUROSAKI. Who saw that coming. They're short drabbles and just all so beautifully written. A+ guys.
- Dirty Minds by agirlcalledkil. AHAHA. THIS FIC. So SO fucking funny. It's Shige and Kanjani8. And not porny. It's brilliant. I love that word too much, but whatever. It was just amazing and love and the characterization of all these characters? SO much love. Of course, I love all the NewS scenes, but yo, it's Shige. Getting pulled into things by Kanjani8. Talk about awesome. :D
iv. I said I'd talk about this, and I will be brief. Randomly, I ended up picking up the book The Alchemyst ~The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott. If you guys know me at all, you will know that I am very easy. In this case, the name "Nicholas Flamel" totally just jumped out at me. For those not in the know, Nicholas Flamel is supposedly the alchemist. The one who had discovered how to use the Philosopher's Stone to make the drink that makes him (and his wife) immortal. He knew how to make metals into gold, blahblahblah. I've always love him and his "story" and so, a book about him. Please. I'm so there. It's a Young Adult story, so I wasn't expecting like, AWESOME work. Reading it, that's exactly what I got. *laughs* It was solid - I'll give it that. I was entertained for the entire night and then following morning in which I read it. My biggest problem with it was that it moved so fast. In the span of two days, two days, way too much happened. I mean, I understand the franticness of the situation, but at the same time... It just didn't work logically in my head. Maybe I should've turned off that side of my head, but it can't be helped.
I did love the characters the author used - saw familiar names such as the Morrigan, Hekate, Bastet, and Yggdrasill. Scathach is also a big character, so if anyone else recognizes it. lol The plot's kinda cliche, I suppose. Well, somewhat. The sense that two unknown "humani" twins can save the world from going under the control of the Dark Elders. And one of them has the power of death, the other - the power of life. Cliche, but still. I was totally enraptured. Just... Again, speed-fire. I can't get over the pacing. :\\\\\ Other than that, worth a read if you're bored and need some mindless (yes, mindless) entertainment. (Also, I liked the portrayal of some of the creatures - especially the vampires. And I hate vampire stories.)
v. Pimping futari_fansubs! I lovelovelove Domoto Kyoudai so finding another group that's subbing them? LOVE. :D If you can't watch all four (trust me, I have), I recommend the one with Hoshino Aki. Just the fact that she got Kinki Kids to make those poses.... I DIED. Okay. lolol There was also a lot of talk about breasts. Bras. Um. Yeah. XP Although, really, I rec all four. I love that show beyond belief. a;dslfkajsldfjalksd You don't even KNOW.
P.S. EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK OUT THE JEP RAP-A-THON! :DDDDD (I had to rap, embarrassingly enough.)
