(I need a Mathey/Lynes icon) I'm so glad you read them and liked them! I've tried a little of the fanfic, but it doesn't always fit the lads I have in my head, so I must admit to being a bit wary. I was lucky enough to have two Mathey/Lynes fics as gift-fics via Yuletide though, and I like them both very much! In case you've not read them yet:

and
A Brief Pause by Goseaward.

There was going to be a third story by the original authors, but it seems to have vanished... *sad sigh*

Turns out I did read Mudlarks, but I forgot to put it on my bingo card. I knew there was something I was forgetting. It is a nice fic and made me wish I'd poked around the river a bit more when I lived near one. I will check out the other fic, too.

I really do recommend Eruv. I think it's a great example of some of the things that fan fiction can accomplish. (The characterizations seem to me to be in line with canon, too, though I realize that I tend to be more tolerant of deviations in that area than you are.)
