That specific praise was so hard! Central negative space, okay, but with a location in the background? Waaah! :D I have about half a dozen rejects for that. (Two of them ended up in my free spaces for historamedy, I'll probably post those tomorrow. Easy to recognize if you know what to look for. :D)
I didn't know what to do with the cap in 13, at all. But it very much asked for hair painting. :D

The composition in 18 is something I never would have done if I hadn't been trying to imitate that movie poster. This round was so much fun, making me do things I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

I love 9 as well. Painted style is one of my fave things, and yellow is my fave color - I used a crop of an Emil Nolde painting for the background, and he always uses the most gorgeous colors.
You got such a weird song title I had no idea how I would have interpreted that.
Oooh, true. Funnily, it was the first icon I made for this set. :D The promo pic of Zhu Yilong in front of all those tv screens just jumped out at me immediately for this theme. (Although there were way fewer screens in the pic than in the icon, so it involved quite a bit of manipping after all...) I'm glad you think the color scheme works!
The composition in 7 is freaking spectacular,
Thank you! <3 I think I was in a good mood that day, this was the first attempt, and it immediately came out like this. It's the only icon in this whole set for which I don't have any alts.
Omg your praise icon is perfect - I wouldn't even have thought of "location" in that wayYes, that stumped me for quite a while! But if the negative space is in the middle, I ( ... )

I love the complexity and colors of 1.
I was playing around with textures, and then loved the checkered effect and kept it. It works really well for Sherlock, I thought.
The lighting and colors of 5 is just stunning.
Oh, thanks! You're the first person to mention 5. It was pretty difficult to get right - I only had two caps to choose from, and getting the light and shadow right took some work.
The colors of 9 and 10 are so gorgeous and vibrant!
\o/ I love vibrant colors. 10 took ages to get to work, I almost gave up on it. The original cap already has that two-sided coloring, but bringing that out was harder than I thought. :D
I love the text detail and blurred/faded sides of 20!
Ooh, thank you! I'm glad to hear which details worked. <3
