So this weekend was my 7th show on the QSO subscription. It was the Blaze of Glory which played Symphony in B minor, D.759 from Franz Schubert, which is considered unfinished. It sounded pretty finished to my ears. However, historians agree that Schubert moved on before finishing it.

So, I am 50% through my Queensland Symphony Orchestra subscription. The 5th show of my 10-show package was Symphony Fantastic. The main pieces for the concert were Hector Berlioz's five-part music program, which he composed to express his one-sided love for an actress (who did eventually become his wife).

Tinni: When of you are aware that for sometime now, I have been working towards crossing-off "being able to play the piano or at least a keyboard" of my non-existent bucket list (by that I mean, I have things I always wanted to do but never actually wrote the list down). Well I still haven't progressed beyond lesson nine. However, I have recently started being able to play some of the songs from the songbook that came with my keyboard. I can't play all the songs because I can't read all the scores and/or haven't mastered the keys necessary. But some of the basic middle-C based songs are ok. So I am playing ( Read more... )
