“Mm?”
Yuri paused his game and silence fell, he turned around, the game console loose on his hand and found Yamada standing right behind him.
A weight fell and Yuri was enveloped in Yamada’s warmth as he wrapped his arms around Yuri from behind him.
“Happy anniversary,” Yamada murmured, his lips almost touching Yuri’s ear and tickling Yuri in the process. Yuri chuckled as he let himself relax into Yamada’s arms and nuzzled back. His soft hair grazed Yamada’s cheeks and Yamada pressed in closer, as if kissing his hair.
“Guess I’m stuck with you,” Yuri sighed, shaking his head dramatically. Yamada laughed and smacked his head, removing his arms from Yuri in the process.
“Hmm?” Looking down, Yuri found a necklace around his neck. He picked up the pendant, a tiny piece of silver shaped in a way that weirdly reminds him of a heart. He flipped it over and engraved on it was the letters -Y.R-
Yamada was by his side by the time he looked up and he snuggled into Yamada’s arms as he sat down, noticing that he had one of the same hanging around his neck.
“Thank you.” It was a soft whisper, one filled with emotion and Yamada caught it easily. Smiling, Yamada pushed Yuri’s head gently to himself and leaned in, kissing Yuri between his brows. Yamada whispered, his lips caressing Yuri’s forehead due to the close distance and Yuri breathed in deeply as if drinking down the words he heard. He whispered back “I love you too.”
