Yuri woke up to the sound of beeping and he groaned softly as he turned to his side, slightly irritated by the sound of the alarm. He was sure he turned his alarm off yesterday before he went to bed as today’s a day off for him and all he wants is to sleep in until noon. Yuri forced his eyelids opened and saw that daylight was creeping into the skies through his window and he sighed. It’s way too early to be awake on an off day. He nudged Yamada who was still asleep beside him, unfazed by the loud beeping of the alarm. Yamada stirred and mumbled something incoherent as he turned over to face Yuri, his eyes barely open but wanting to show Yuri that he was awake. A few seconds passed and Yuri watched as Yamada’s eyes slowly droop back to sleep and he quickly moved in to press a kiss on his forehead. “Get up sleepy,” he whispered, his lips grazing against the skin on Yamada’s forehead and leaving a tingling sensation on it. “Mmmhmm,” was all Yuri got as a reply and Yuri waited as Yamada slowly push himself up into a sitting position. Yuri watched adoringly as Yamada finally sat up, his back slightly hunched as he rubbed his eyes sleepily. His hair was messy and sticking out at weird angles and Yuri couldn’t help but smile at his sight. Sleepy Yamada is the cutest Yamada ever and he would never get tired of watching him get up. Yuri gave Yamada another nudge with his feet when it seemed like Yamada would really just fall back asleep while sitting there and Yamada nodded absentmindedly before finally climbing out of bed.
It was when Yuri was debating with himself whether he should get up since he was already awake anyway or continue to laze around in bed when Yamada came out of the bathroom, looking fresh and awake with his hair combed and eyes fully opened.
“Morning, sexy,” Yuri chimed as he sat up to let Yamada pull him into a hug, his nose nuzzling against Yamada’s neck as a wave of fresh mint overpowered him. “Wish I’m off today too,” Yamada sighed as he rested his chin on Yuri’s shoulder. “Happy Valentine’s Day by the way,” Yamada said as he broke the hug to give Yuri a kiss on his lips. “Sorry I couldn’t stay with you.” His drama filming schedules were hectic these days and they had to get the scenes filmed as soon as possible to make it in time for the editing. Yuri shook his head and leaned back in for another kiss, yearning to be close to Yamada.
“I have something for you though,” Yamada announced and Yuri pulled back to let him fish out a box from the inside of the drawer. Yuri opened the box to find matching leather bracelets, one black and one brown with their initials engraved on the inner side of the strap. “Hope you like it,” Yamada started as he unbuckles the brown one to put it on Yuri’s wrist. “I’m really running out of gift ideas.” Yuri chuckled at this and wriggled his wrist, watching the bracelet turn and feeling it against his skin. “I love it, thank you.” Yamada smiled because Yuri was smiling brightly at him and that was enough to push him on for the long day ahead.
